proboscis monkey, Borneo Jungle Trekking Borneo or Kalimantan is conservatively estimated to hold 223 mammals, including 44 of it is endemic which is not found in anywhere else in the world, 420 resident birds with 37 is endemic, 100 amphibians and more than 400 species of fish with 19 of it is endemic. This mighty island is also home to thousands of plants, lichens and fungi, which in turn form the base of a food chain that nurtures a wide array of species. At least another 15,000 plants of which 6,000 species are found nowhere else in the world. The swamps, mangroves, lowlands and montane forests are the characteristic of the island. The flora and fauna of Borneo is very colorful, impressive, and various, scattered from the high ground into the lowest level of the mighty island. They are magnificent and attracting many scientists and travelers to come and being fascinated.

Day 01  ARRIVAL IN PALANGKA RAYA – SUNGAI GOHONG – HOTEL

Meet at airport and directly transfer to Sungai Gohong Village for check in to the local hotel. We can explore the atmosphere and culture of Dayak Village nearby the hotel. Free at your own leisure. (L,D)

Day 02  PALANGKA RAYA – ORANGUTAN ISLAND – BANJARMASIN

After breakfast, we will proceed to the jetty for catching our motorized canoe to reach Orangutan Island while sightseeing the beautiful natural black river and rainforest around, just keep an eye out for monkeys and birds.  We will then continue our trip by driving across the beautiful peat swamp forest landscape to reach Banjarmasin to stay overnight at the hotel. Day 03  FLOATING MARKET – KINTAP

Early in the morning, we will leave to floating market to explore the unique culture of Banjarese that trade commodities from boat to boat, then return to hotel crossing Banjarmasin River while sightseeing people activities at riverside. Afterwards, we will drive for about 3 hours to Kintap town crossing beautiful landscape of Meratus Mountain. Lunch will be served en route, dinner and overnight at local hotel in Kintap town. Day 04  KINTAP – BATU LICIN

After breakfast, we will catch our boat to cruise the Asam River to spot crocodiles, proboscis monkeys, langurs, birds, and other wild animals. Afterwards, proceed to Batu Licin to stay overnight at the local hotel. Lunch and dinner will be served at local restaurants, staying overnight at the local hotel in Batu Licin. (B,L,D)

Day 05 BATU LICIN – LIANG BANGKAI CAVE – LOKSADO

After breakfast, we will proceed to Liang Bangkai Cave to explore the beautiful stalagmites and stalactites of the limestone cave. We will then drive across rainforest and mountainous landscape to reach Loksado Plateau. Lunch will be served en route, dinner and staying overnight at lodge in Loksado. (B,L,D)

Day 06 BAMBOO RAFTING – SULTAN ADAM FOREST PARK

After breakfast, we will take an adventure trip of bamboo rafting across beautiful landscape of tropical rainforest along the Amandit riverside meanwhile our coach will be waiting on the downstream for driving to Sultan Adam Forest Park for check in to the resort. We can spend the afternoon with tea or coffee while enjoying the beautiful view of Meratus Mountain landscape from the resort.  (B,L,D)

Day 07  SULTAN ADAM FOREST PARK – DEPARTURE

Breakfast at the resort while enjoying the misty of Meratus Mountain and the sound of the nature. Free at yor own leisure till the proper time for transferring to airport for your flight to the next destination. (B)
