The sea garden around Derawan, Sangalaki and Kakaban Islands meet the quality of the best snorkeling and diving sites. They are the favorite places for marine tourism. There are many rare animals such as the green turtles, the scarlet turtles, star fruit turtles, and sea cows. The place is also home to many rare species of marine plants and coral reefs. Here travelers can do snorkeling with scores of manta rays and millions of red jellyfish at a prehistoric lake. It is also possible for snorkeling with green turtles every day nearby the cottages and restaurants on Derawan Island. While the Sangalaki island is famous for its manta rays and travelers will also find abundance of giant green turtles, cuttlefish, blue trigger fish and numerous species of nudibranch. Last but not least, The lake of Kakaban is an outstanding with thousands of red jellyfish that can only found at two places in the world.

Day 01 ARRIVAL IN BERAU – TANJUNG BATU – DERAWAN

Meet at airport and directly transfer to Tanjung Batu village for about 2,5 hours crossing mountainous and rainforest, and then proceed to Derawan island by speed boat for about 25 minutes for check in to the cottage. In the peaceful afternoon, we can do snorkeling around the cottage or exploring the daily life of villagers. Free at your own leisure.

Day 02 DERAWAN – KAKABAN – SANGGALAKI – DERAWAN

Breakfast at cottage and then proceed to Kakaban island by boat for snorkeling and exploring the wondrous sea garden with 4 different species of jelly fish that can be found by thousands. Next, proceed to Sangalaki snorkeling on the site which is called as the Capital of The Mantas Rays, including kinds of exotic fish, such as; Napoleons, purple sea horses, tunitates, dwarf scorpion fishes, and not to forget the coral sea garden which is fascinating. Afterwards, return to the cottage for overnight. (B,L,D)
