Punggu Alas is an area of Sebangau National Park which is dominated by peat swamp forest. Besides orangutans, this area is also home to other endemic primates such as Bornean maroon leaf monkeys, Bornean proboscis monkeys, Bornean agile gibbon, Bornean slow loris, and Bornean tarsier, as well as the non-endemic primates such as pig tailed macaque and long tailed macaque. This peat-swamp forest is also home to 141 bird species, 17 reptiles, and 16 species of toads.
Camp Leakey is an area of Tanjung Puting National Park which is home to various animals, including the Bornean orangutan which is the main attraction. Besides orangutans, there are also Bornean proboscis monkeys, Borneo agile gibbons, Bornean tarsier, Bornean slow loris, and Bornean maroon leaf monkeys. This station is also a habitat for various species of birds, reptiles such as crocodiles, snakes, monitor lizards, and various species of mammals such as sambar deer, wild boars, sunbears, etc.
Lubuk Baji is an area of Gunung Palung National Park which is home to magical nature with hundreds of vegetation including gigantic trees, flowering plants, climber tree, etc. It is also home to various amazing primates, including Bornean orangutans, Bornean agile gibbons, Bornean slow loris, and Bornean maroon leaf monkeys. This station is also a habitat for various species of birds and mammals such as great argus pheasants, hornbills, sambar deer, wild boars, sunbears, giant squirrels, etc.

Day 01 ARRIVAL IN PALANGKA RAYA – ORANGUTAN ISLAND – SEBANGAU NATIONAL PARK

Arrive at Palangka Raya airport with morning flight and directly driving to the jetty for catching our motorized canoe to approach the Orangutan Island while sightseeing the romantic river and rainforest around, just keep an eye out for monkeys and birds. The Orangutan Island is managed by Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation (BOSF) for orangutan rehabilitation before releasing to the wild. We will then driving accross beautiful landscape of peat swamp forest into Kereng Pakahi Port to cross the Katingan River while sightseeing wildlife such as proboscis monkeys, kingfishers, hornbills, long tailed macaques, etc. Afterwards, proceed to Sabangau National Park through Punggu Alas creek for check in to homestay. In a very dry condition of the creek, we have to trek for about 1,5 hours to reach the homestay in Sabangau National Park. In the peaceful evening, we can do a night boating safari to explore the nocturnal animals at the riverside. (L,D)

Day 02 SEBANGAU NATIONAL PARK – KERENG PAKAHI – SAMPIT

After breakfast at the creekside, we will trek to the jungle to explore nature and wildlife such as orangutans, monkeys, birds, endemic vegetation, etc. Return to the camp for having lunch and take a rest. In the afternoon, we will check out the homestay and crossing down the river into Kereng Pakahi Port. Afterwards, driving across beautiful peat swamp forest landscape into Sampit. We can make some stops at the interesting spots we meet enroute. Arrive at Sampit and directly check in to the hotel. (B,L,D)

Day 03 SAMPIT – KUMAI VILLAGE – TANJUNG PUTING NATIONAL PARK

Breakfast at the hotel and then driving to Kumai Village to board the houseboat into Tanjung Puting National Park. The houseboat is a traditional wooden river boat with the roof that forms the upper deck where you can view the rainforest as it glides by. The boat crew including the boatman, cook and expert guide. In the afternoon, we will slowly cruise the romantic river to explore the flora and fauna along the riverside. In the peaceful evening, we can do a night walk to explore the nocturnal animals, such as; tarantula, sleeping birds, frogs, mousedeers, insects, etc. Staying overnight at the houseboat or Rimba Lodge with dining at the boat, with facilities; mattress, pillow, fine meals, mineral water, mosquito net, kitchen, and simple toilet available at the boat besides the familiar helpful guides and boatmen. Day 04 TANJUNG PUTING NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, we will cruise upward the river into Pondok Tanguy to explore the rehabilitation center of the new ex-captive orangutans. Next, return to the houseboat for cruising up the creek into Camp Leakey where the older orangutans are reintroduced into the rainforest. At this station, we will explore the story of the first orangutan project in the world, we will then trek to the feeding station to see the rehabilitated orangutans are given additional food. Afterwards, cruising down the river while exploring nature and wildlife at the riverside. Lunch and dinner will be served at the houseboat. Staying overnight at Rimba Lodge or in the houseboat. Day 05 TANJUNG PUTING NATIONAL PARK – KUMAI VILLAGE – SUKADANA

After breakfast, we will get the morning safari to explore nature and wildlife at the riverside. Afterwards, proceed to Kumai Village to catch the car for driving about 8,5 hours to reach the hotel in Sukadana town across Dayak villages, rainforest, and mountainous landscape as well as the border between Central Kalimantan and West Kalimantan Provinces. Lunch and dinner will be served at the local restaurants. Lunch and dinner will be served at the local restaurants. Staying overnight at the local hotel in Sukadana. (B,L,D)

Day 06 SUKADANA – SEDAHAN VILLAGE – GUNUNG PALUNG NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, we will drive to Sedahan Village to start the trekking into Lubuk Baji Station of Gunung Palung National Park to explore the nature and wildlife such as orangutans, gibbons, birds, gigantic trees, etc. Lunch will be served enroute, dinner, and stay overnight at the jungle camp. Day 07 GUNUNG PALUNG NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, we will be trekking in different path of the jungle to spot wild orangutans and other wildlife. Return to the camp for lunch and take a rest. In the afternoon, we will trek again but in the different trails to observe the magnificent flora and fauna of the national park. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and staying overnight at the jungle camp. Day 08 GUNUNG PALUNG NATIONAL PARK – SEDAHAN VILLAGE – BUKIT PAOH

After breakfast at the jungle camp, we will be trekking to different trails of the national park to spot orangutans and other wild animals. Return to the camp for take a rest and prepare to check out. We will then trek back to Sedahan Village while exploring the flora and fauna of the national park. Afterwards, driving to Bukit Paoh for check in to the villa. You can get relax at the swimming pool while sightseeing the rainforest of the mountain. (B,L,D)

Day 09 BUKIT PAOH – SUKADANA – PONTIANAK

After breakfast, we will drive to the boat station to catch the regular public fast-boat crossing the Karimata Strait and the mighty Kapuas River to reach Pontianak. Arrive at Pontianak and then proceed to the hotel to stay overnight. Free at your own leisure. (B,L)

Day 10 PONTIANAK – DEPARTURE

Breakfast at the hotel and free at your own leisure till the proper time for transferring to Pontianak airport for your onward flight to the next destination. (B)
